My Pilates Journey ~ Katy Hacopian
My passion for movement began at an early age with dance throughout grade school and college. As I continued on after college and entered the workforce I wanted a way to incorporate the movement patterns I loved with personal fitness.
I found pilates soon after and immediately fell in love with the transformation it provided not only physically but also mentally. I quickly knew I wanted to bring this experience to other people and thus began my journey to becoming a comprehensive pilates instructor..
I met my husband in 2016, and we had our first child in 2021. During my pregnancy I incorporated prenatal pilates into my exercise routine, and after delivering my son I used postnatal techniques to rehabilitate and recover until I was ready to return to normal practices. I fully believe the exercises done in my pre and postnatal workouts helped aid in my pregnancy, delivery, and recovery.
I want to help others who are in this stage of life towards their desired results in pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond. While working through the pre and postnatal training I developed a passion for guiding women's bodies through all stages of life. I decided to dive deeper into the needs of movement and exercise specific to women who are going through or have already gone through menopause. Every woman experiences these changes at a certain point, and I am passionate about guiding women using pilates exercises to help increase strength, balance, flexibility and mobilization throughout this life stage and beyond.
